Fish Singer Place Hosts the Sustainable Building Advisor Program

Seattle, WA. July 2, 2010- Fish Singer Place is the newest 5-Star Built Green Community in the Northwest. Today, students from Whatcom Community College’s Sustainable Building Advisor Program tour the site. 

The National Sustainable Building Advisor Program (NaSBAP) offers a 9 month certificate training course and exam designed for the working professionals eager to apply sustainable concepts to their practices. Part of the course work includes site visits to building sites that promote sustainable design and building practices. 

Martha Rose, of Martha Rose Construction, and Adrian Willanger from Eco-Redux will lead the tour covering key sustainable building practices that have been integrated into Fish Singer Place. 

Fish Singer Place has offered classes and tours surpassing 1000 attendees during the last four months. “The interest in sustainable building has been overwhelming, and an interesting indicator for the new construction economy.” Mentions Willanger
